Revisiting the Intimacy of Home Weddings

I came to the crowd seeking friends

I came to the crowd seeking love
I came to the crowd for understanding

I found you

I came to the crowd to weep
I came to the crowd to laugh

You dried my tears
You shared my happiness

I went from the crowd seeking you
I went from the crowd seeking me
I went from the crowd forever

You came, too

- Nikki Giovanni

Weddings are ingrained into the very fabric of Indian culture. For most it is a milestone if both witnessed and achieved. Over the years, however, weddings were going overboard on extravagance and mindless wastage of resources. Thus, we are overjoyed that Covid has enabled us to revisit intimate home weddings and share with those who truly matter. The focus has now shifted, rightfully so, to celebrating the marriage and not the wedding. Even if this means fewer giveaways for our business, which is highly dependent on numbers, it also ensures that we churn out more meaningful favours that represent the true spirit of the couple. A toast to the betterment!
