DAWAT | दावत | دعوت
We are ending this holy month of Ramadan by celebrating the culinary diversity of India in days leading to Eid-Al-Fitr.
The practice of dried fruits journeying from far away lands into India has been age-old. Persian texts describe the trade of not just the edibles but of actual recipes being handed down to find their way into the Indian culinary discipline. In order to celebrate the contribution of Indo-Persian dishes to the cultural synthesis of India, Shiva and Saumya at the Open Art Project have helped us put into vision a beautiful table set up for Eid.
We at Bruijn are as heavily invested in curating quality dried fruits and nuts as we are in educating you about their cultural and historical relevance. Along with the Open Art Project, we have put together simple recipes of sweetmeats particularly present at an Iftar or Eid gathering. Follow our instagram highlights titled 'Eid' to explore more.
Till then Eid Mubarak to our Bruijn family!
